8-10 fps constantly

Recommended Posts

Im only geting 8-10 fps. Regardless if I'm on max settings or low.

iv disabled AA and post processing and still get this shitty fps. The 3d resolution and the interface res are set to 1920 x 1080. Regardless of the resolution it still stays at 8-10 fps.

I'm also an AMD user - you have to go into CCC and edit some stuff.

Go to Gaming ---> 3D application settings ---> Tessellation ---> Switch "AMD Optimized" to "Use application settings", 64x for me.

Then go to the task manager, and find Arma II in processes. Right click it, and set the priority higher if you need to - do this at your own risk, and only if you know your CPU can handle it.

Additionally in-game, ensure your 3D resolution is the same as your monitor resolution. HDR also sucks up a ton of frames for whatever reason, so leave it at the lowest setting. I went from 5 fps (disgraceful) to 40-50 fps (pretty manageable).

I have a similar problem. Try a few tweaks. In single player Arma 2 I get 40-50+ FPS no problem. There's somehow a problem with optimization with the mod that will hopefully be improved next patch. Search the forums for more tweaks (they may or may not help), try switching servers until you find a good one (this can help A LOT), wait it out.

I found that a computer restart and a defrag got it fixed. Now playing on my desktop looks so sweet, had a 7 hour gaming session lastnight. Now to see if I can get eyefinity working
