NW Airfield base in short supply?

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if it's me but my trips to the airbase have been very dissapointing...I hardly find anything good, even if I change servers. At the best, I'll find an AK74 and that's it (I know that's good but I'd expect a bit more).

Anyone else with the same problems?

Remember that others are constantly looting the airfield as well. Try to hit it after a server restart and you'll probably have better luck.

Because more and more people are becoming smart and know where the good loot are.

Places like airfield are constantly looted. Therefore, don't expect to be the "first one there" because most likely over fifty people already have visited that area not too long ago.

Do you guys even know how the loot system works?

Loot is generated when a player approches a loot spot (stuff de-spawns when no one is near by). After a certain amount of time items respawn when a player approches again (this is how loot cycling works).

How many people have looted a spot before you makes no difference to your loot yeild, only the percentage chances of you finding good loot (most high value items have less than 1% chance of spawning). You've just been unlicky mate not to have found anything half decent.

It makes no god damn difference how many people were there before you, the loot will generate in the same way.

Actually it does, me and my friends have hours, if not at least a day+ worth of loot farming alone, loot will not despawn for at least 20 minutes, giving a good chance of someone taking the 1-2 at most good weapons/items that spawned there and leaving, I say at least 20 minutes as we have waited that long around 1.5 KM away from the barracks before.

Could be a much longer time in itself.

the loot system is still sketchy to figure out as there hasn't been an official word on how it works yet AFAIK.

Erm that is why you "loot cycle"

If you empty each loot pile the respawn timer kicks in sooner.

This isn't an exact science and the times that loot take to respawn vary but you can get loot to respawn in as quickly as a few minutes.

The number of players who have been farming the loot before you makes NO difference. It's all random numbers.
