Spawning with a melee weapon... yes or no?

I personally like when you spawned with a gun but it seems like most people are actually quite happier without it, I guess I can understand...? Anyways my idea was for us to spawn with at least some sort of melee weapon so we can at least fend off some zombies while we're trying to obtain some vital loot. I can't tell you how many times I've had to run away from buildings due to a zombie sprinting right behind me and, me not being able to defend myself. I say either spawn us with some sort of melee weapon or reduce the speed/sight/hearing of a zombie.

I actually think this is a pretty good sugestion.

I mean, i'd be very happy if they just gave me a pocket knife, or a kitchen knife.

It won't make everybody stab eachother, and people will have a way to fend off zombies.
