Hi, everytime i try to play arma II or the dayZ mod i get a white screen which slowly increases until it is impossible to see anything but white. Is there any reason for this? any fix? responses would be very grateful. Thanks :P

Yes using the free version of Arma 2. Every time I start playing the game slowly goes to a white screen. If you switch the video setting it will go back to normal but start going back to the white screen. Gets worse the more you move around...

I believe this is a bug relating to the free version of the game. Unfortunately, there isn't much known on it except that the bug was fixed when the full version of Arma was bought. It's clearly only affecting an extremely small portion of users using the free version.

I suggest changing some of your settings around (turn shadows and post-processing effects off). This may fix your issue - let me know please.

Thanks!

That's what I suspected...I have messed around with the settings quite a lot, but I will try again and let you know!

Ok, just ran it again and the same thing happened. Tried messing around with the video settings like you said but nothing helped.

After doing I ran the full version of Arma 2 from his external HD. Same thing happened.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I am running Arma off my Macbook Pro with Windows XP parallels (I know I know...)

I have this issue also. Running a mac with winxp in parallels. Screen slowly goes white until unplayable. As with the OP changing resolution only works briefly before turning white again.
