FPS significantly higher in towns than in open fields and woods.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, so i upgraded to i5 2400 from C2D E8400, everything is perfect, just one problem.. When i'm running on open fields and woods, my fps drops to 30-35fps constantly, it's really weird cuz in every town, Cherno and Zel included, I get 55 as minimum FPS, never dips down, i can run around in the middle of town going as high as 85fps sometimes, no stuttering whatsoever. I did reinstalled my game and I've got around 40-45 fps in fields and game isn't as choppy as before, towns are still perfect. I've tried lowering objects down and it helps, i get maybe 5-7fps, but not as much as i would hope so. FPS dips down to 30 when i right click to zoom in.

 My settings are: http://imgur.com/a/2K17R

My PC setup: i5 2400; GTX 750Ti 2gb; 4GB of RAM. DayZ is on SSD

I've had exactly the same settings on old cpu, except for objects witch were on normal, everything else is the same and i've had constant 45+ fps on fields and woods. It didnt really even dip down when i was zooming in.

Weird thing is i had 45+ fps on the freaking dual core on open fields before, and now its just weird.

Things I did:

fresh install of windows,

Reinstalled a game,

verified game cache,

Tried numerous setting combinations

deleted cfg,

made gpu run on maximum power,

Switched CPU to high usage

Unparked all the cores

installed newest gpu drivers and rolled back to the drivers on witch i had great fps on old processor. Not much success.

Maybe i'm just expecting too much, but I just find it weird that my game somehow has better fps in towns than open fields. If there is any solution to this please help. If there isn't I would like if devs maybe just could say that this is normal so I can just settle in and not expect as much anymore. Thank you!
