Trying to join

My brother has a Steam account that has Arma already on it, but hte account is vac banned. Is it still possible to play on the Dayz mod severs with that account or do I need to purchase Arma for myself on a new account

I think the BattleEye system regulates DayZ rather than VAC so you should be good. I don't think there's any harm in trying it out even if he's already vac banned.
