DayZ China Server - How to?

Recommended Posts

Dear DayZ mod devs, I find myself in China these days and would very much like to play this mod without lagging horribly and give those around here a chance to play the game. I am considering making a server for the region, could somebody please explain how to go about doing that?

I have an 8MB fibre connection, hoping that will be enough. Otherwise we have a Korean server which goes down when they go to bed (and just whilst I was about to grab a silenced SMG :P)

I don't think an 8mbps connection can hold even around 30 players. If I were you I'd request the server software and then order a dedicated server with at least a 100mbps connection. But make sure the server specs are pretty decent since the servers get stressed easy enough as it is.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I was being too a bit too noob and optimistic, which I guess is why I put this in the new player section.

Damn, I really want to host my own server though :)
