how do you bandage someone else?

I saw another player get attacked by zombies; he killed all of them but was left bleeding out with a broken leg. I had a few bandages, so I approached him and he started begging for help, but I couldn't figure out how to bandage him.

While I was trying to figure it out, he killed me, so I guess next time I'll just wait for the person to bleed out and take their stuff, but I'd still like to know how in case I do make a friend.

Go near them, scroll mouse.

It's kind of bugged, just try moving and aiming at different places.
