AS50 Mil dots question

So, I finally found an AS50 and have been using DMR and M24 earlier and me and my friend tested if the mil-dots actually give the same readings with the scopes of AS50 and M24. We measured a zombie far away and as50 mil-dots measured the height as 3 mil and my friends DMR measured the height as 4.3mil. How am I supposed to get accurate range estimations with the AS50 then?
