will the loot (in the barracks) respawn if you stay near it?

my friends and I want to attack and hold a barracks building but do you have to go out and then back in for the loot to respawn?

or can you just stay in and kill the zombies/players that come in???

I have seen loot respawn as I went away from the building only to come back 30sec later. I have never seen loot spawn directly inside the same building I am. If loot respawn, its not as often as you think, so camping a building is not a good idea. Plus zombies will keep spawning and, lets be honest, its terribly boring to stay in the same building forever for whatever purpose you want to do that.

Loot is a tricky thing, I don't think anyone knows exactly how it works that isnt a dev/willing to divulge that information.

Twice I have stayed in the same spot hidden camping the middle of no-where and amazing things have happened. Ambushed a car,seen a helicopter and took on a group of 5 survivors from long range.

Waiting in this game pays off ;)

The basics are rather simple really, but you're gonna have to figure it out on your own. The forums are not a good place for such knowledge. :sleepy:

Anyway, why would you want to be stuck inside those barracks when defending them? That sounds like a terrible idea. Better take up some decent defensive positions around it. Thats how I did it with 5 of my pals, and we could hold it pretty well without loosing a single man.

So get more than 5 meters away and loot should spawn.

On a similar note it appears zombies can spawn inside buildings you occupy as long as you are a certain distance away.

I've had loot respawn right by me before as I'm walking by. So I believe yeah it can.

I had loot spawn in a house while I was sitting there looting a different pile, so I actually saw it spawning.
