a logging sort of feature

Hello i dunno if this has been put out there, but could there be a sort of "character log screen" because i play solo a fair bit, but i also play with a few friends, hears the deal i want to be able to play on my own when i can without worrying about dining, walk to far from where we all last logged out and what not, and then have a char that i can have focus on beaning with my friends, ofc there would need to be a restriction which would prevent 2 chars been logged onto the same server so eg, char 1 last logged off uk 1, therefore char 2 can not log onto uk 1 as there is a char active on that server, to help prevent server jumping and loot hoarding. but yer i hope this make sense :) just want to help what u guys think? do i need to explain more?
