DayZ cannot join any game

Recommended Posts

I cannot join any game hosting the DayZ mod. The problem I get is when I join I will always be kicked and then every time after that I get a message that lists a lot of files from my Arma II addons folder along with this message: "(List of files)...are not signed by a key accepted by this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additonal accepted keys." I tried removing them and it didn't solve my problem, so I restored them. I have reinstalled Arma II (retail) and Arma II Operation Arrowhead (Steam), I patched Operation Arrowhead with the 1.6 update, I tried patching Arma II with the 1.11 update but get the following message: "Arma II is not installed on your computer or installation is corrupted". I am still having the same problem. DayZ has been installed with the Six Updater, Arma II, Arma II:OA and Arma II:CO have been run as administrator.

Please help!

Thanks for the link but I've already had a look at it and it hasn't solved my problem. I don't know if the problem lies with an outdated version of Arma II as I've been to the addon folder and deleted every single file in it, I then relaunched the game only to receive the same message but for Operation Arrowhead; which is up to date.

I have same problem as you. :-/

Okay I've fixed the problem, turns out it was down to the current version of Arma II base game I had.

If you're having the same issues as me here's the fix:

http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/patches/armaii/patch.html

If your current version of Arma II is 1.01 then you'll first need to download and install the 1.05 patch.

Once you have version 1.05 download the 1.11 patch and you should be good to go.

Also it is important to make sure Arma II:Operation Arrowhead is up to date, you can get the latest patch here:

http://www.arma2.com/supply/game-updates

If you're having problems patching Arma II and are receiving the message "Arma II is not installed on your computer or installation is corrupted" then you'll need to change the directory.

To do this click Start>Run and type in "regedit".

On the left hand panel locate "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" double click this then look for "SOFTWARE" and then "Bohemia Interactive Studio" and finally click "Arma 2".

For 64bit users you will find Bohemia Interactive studio in this order: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Bohemia Interactive Studio" and again click "Arma 2".

The next step is to locate "Main" within the Arma 2 folder, if you cannot find it simply right click > New > String Value and lable it "Main". Double click "Main" and input into the value directory the follow Directory:

For retail copies of Arma 2: C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2

For Steam Copies of Arma 2: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2

Click okay and retry the patch.

Hopefully this solves your problems.
