AK74 Handguards

Recommended Posts

Anyone else not able to swich out the handguards on the AK74?  I have tried both the plastic and the one with the rail on it to attach a bipod and/or flashlight, also I have tried to swap out a wooden one for another and still just get a red outline. I aint seen nothing in the patch notes, but I did just skim over them. It's not the AK74U and the gun nor the handguards are ruined.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with the AK on your back, then place it on the ground (vicinity), then drag & drop your desired handguard over the AK on the ground. The old handguard should be swapped out into an empty inventory slot.

I accidentally did this ONE time, I could be completely wrong.. good luck mate

To swap a sticky Handguard :

1. Place weapon on your shoulder, have empty hands.

2. Double click Handguard on shouldered weapon to take it into hands. Discard Handguard.

3. Keeping weapon on shoulder, drag new Handguard to the weapon and click Attach Handguard.

Now more wizardry to get Bipod on (AK specific atm) :

1. With handguard rail attached to weapon, shoulder weapon.

2. Paint Handguard rail on shouldered weapon Black (yes it is already black).

3. If Handguard jumps off gun during painting, re attach as above.

4. Once Handguard rail is painted Black, attach Bipod.
