Massive random lag issues when launching.

Recommended Posts

I have encountered a fairly big problem recently that seems to be quite random. Sometimes when i launch DayZ, i literally get 2-3 fps in menu, it constantly stutters and lags so much i can barely click on anything. Then again, sometimes it works fine but i have yet to figure out exactly what is causing it.

I have tried removing all launch options, set CPU back to default speeds, restarting my computer (which sometimes help but not always) and check integrity on Steam.

Also, i keep receiving an application error whenever i exit saying that memory could not be written.

EDIT: Ironically solved it right after posting this, Spotify was causing the issues mainly when playing music while launching...

I get something similar lately.  When I join a server I often get 0 frames, then eventually get a "session lost" and have to rejoin.  Then it's fine.

Lately my background/character hasn't been loading on the menu screen either.

I don't have spotify or anything unusual running so I doubt it's that in my case.  I also get a memory error every time I quit the game.

Yeah same here actually, whenever i join a server for the first time i get like 10-15 seconds of 0-3 fps but it always catches up.

I have found the issue, it seems to be g-sync which is causing this not only in DayZ but every other game i play. I figure this must be some kind of driver problem or similar.
