dayz commander doesnt show anything and dayz launcher wont download (updated, read nao)

for those who are having problems with dayz launcher, i just had a facepalm moment. simply go to the downloads/mods path in the setting, and click the box "force http download" it works for me now. otherwise read my old crap below. "hey, to anyone having the same trouble, i fixed my problem!! if you got the same problem, screw the two, and go with "survival launcher" http://survivallauncher.com/it worked for me, hopefully it works for you too! just it doesnt have all the mods the others do, it has the main ones like panthera, epoch, overwatch, dayz, and some of the other popular maps."
