Here is some quick feedback.

Survival promotes empty or low populated servers because other players are the biggest danger. We want full servers don't we? Perhaps a survival score could be weighted. For example 1 day of survival on a full server = 1 week of survival on an empty server.

Shopping carts are a must have! Bag ladies are a staple in the ol' post apocalypse.

Hand pumped railroad carts for vehicles. Goes faster with two people.

Ham radio spawns (like green mountain) broadcast to the entire server. Can be left on auto repeat.
