Types of armor can take more damage but some may slow you down.

Sports armor - 20 Durabillity , 20 Damage absorption , repaiarable with plastic , findable in residental areas.

Zylon vest - 40 durabillity , 25 Damage absorption , unrepairable , findable in fire stations.

Kevlar Vest - 60 Durabillity , 30 damage absorption , can handle projectiles , unrepaiarable , findable in baracks , military

Flak jacket - 80 Durabillity , 35 damage absorption , can handle projectiles , findable in barracks , millitary , bunkers , helicopter crash sites.

Sn-42 , 100 durabillity , 50 damage absorption , can handle projectiles , findable in helicopter crash sites , and bunkers.

I don't really like when people post just to complain that you didn't use the search function because it does not work all the time, but dude there is a post about this still on the front page about 5 posts below yours.

That is a good post about it, with some one that has a lot of knowledge on body armor. I worked in one of the 5 labs in the US that is certified to do NIJ spec body armor testing, so if anyone has questions they can feel free to ask me.
