Main menu bug - no character/character creation

Weird that I don't find anything about that around... am I really the only one?

 

Problem:

 

On the Dayz main menu screen, there is no character, and also when I try to edit the character, there is none and all option fields are empty. Any fixes/solutions?

 

What I already tried: 

 

1. Reinstalling

2. Deleting Dayz folder in Documents

3. Repairing files with steam

4. Different graphics/resolution/language options

 

What could be interesting to know:

 

I am on Windows 10 Insider Preview

I had this issue when I was using certain launch parameters (-nosplash or something like that).

 

I just removed my launch parameters and it gave me the character creation screen, main menu character, etc. No reinstall, nothing.

Get rid of any launch parameters you set for DayZ in Steam and it should work. Had the same issue after coming back to DayZ after a long break with the release of 0.57.

Thanks guys, that worked. I didn't even remember that I had launch parameters (and also I did not know that they stay even when you uninstall the game)
