whats the best way to get to the nw airfield as a new spawn

How do you guys get to the NW airfield out of spawn without a compass? I find it hard to find north without a compass to guide me.

If you find a watch, which is more common than a compass, you can find north:

I use this method until I find a compass. It isn't perfect but works well enough.

Head north avoiding zombies.

When you are shot dead you have arrived at your destination.

Use a browser map. It will take a while to get used to but if you can find out exactly where you are via roadsign or landmark reference, it is pretty simple from then on out. It typically takes me about 25 minutes to run there from a new spawn.

Am I the only one able to figure out where I am to the grid by landmarks? hahaha. Also Sun rises in the east and falls in the west. The best way to get to the NWAF is to NOT! Why run out there, get sniped, just to run back out there? lmao.
