So I am playing with my brother and decided to go deep in a forest to place a tent so that we can hide a bunch of medical supplies we got from a hospital run. As I am about to place the tent the server is restarting and we get kicked. We connect to a different server and when I turn around I see someone elses tent! So I go investigate and there were some meats, ammo, map, morphine and a few other things we stole (sorry). We decided we better go to different server to place the tent so when that person comes back they won't find us.

When we reconnect to the new server we place a tent and put a bunch of items we don't need into the tent and decide to go back to where we came from. After running for a few minutes we come to the conclusion that we are lost and we see a bus... Holy crap we are lost and we find a bus? Certainly this must be our lucky day, but our luck was not done... So after checking the gear in the bus we find a m14 scoped, Dmr sniper rifle and ammo, other gear and items that will prove helpful. BUT we are still lost in the woods not knowing where we are going so I decided to run to the top of a large hill and see if I could find where we need to go. After seeing an opening in the trees I am running down the hill and spot another tent... Inside the tent is 4 water bottles and NV Goggles... Wow So on our way back to where we thought was the correct way to go we found an ATV before the end of the woods....

Never thought I would find 2 tents, 2 vehicles and NV Goggles accidentally all within 2 hours. Thought I would share my lucky day and see if anyone else came across anything like this accidentally.

P.S. To anyone who hides their vehicles and tents off the map... They aren't safe. Lol

Server hopper? As I said I got booted from 1 server and I left one server so I could place a tent without having to go too far. After that I got 2 vehicles and NV goggles on the same server I have been playing for 2 days now. Why would I leave a server I now have a tent and 2 vehicles??? You mad bro?

Hiding vehicles and tents "off the map" means if you keep going north you will eventually be off the game map but there is still forest and terrain where you can go where most people don't go.

Well, today i died with my first char who actually found weapons (ak and any pistol), and i was mad. :/

Then i just decided to go for another run, went in a big city, heard some gunfire and saw a bunch of zombies runned behind a church. I waited until the gunfires ended and the zombies come back, sneaked through the zombies and found 2 dead player.

One had an enfield and a pistol, a map, water bottle, knife etc., and the other one a pistol and full with food and medicine stuff.

I took as much as i could and sneaked back. That was awesome! :D

Why patch that? there is nothing wrong with running far north to hide your stuff?... if you think it is unfair get a group together head north and jack all the stuff you can find :)

Needs to be patched out :) You should not have to run miles off the map to either stash or loot. Its an unfixed 'exploit' at this stage but will be fixed by final version..then everyone will have only the choice of using the map confines :)

The big downside is people who get vehicles can easily stash stuff well out of range of people who cannot get a vehicle, and generally all of the vehicles are hoarded well out reach of 90 % of the players.

What are all of the hoarders going to do when you can not get off the map..have to play within the confines like eveyone else ? Mother of god.

You know you are lucky when last time you spawned was passed out on top of barbed wire, and when you try to change servers, DayZ gets hit by DDoS, you come back later, and you spawn alive and well where you last were.
