Yourdeadtome 0 Posted July 2, 2012 Hi, I have been looking into the idea of a 'Good' DayZ server, by Good I mean I would like to host a server with a password. I know you can't host a DayZ password server but why? I want to create a good server with an application you must fill out before you can join. It would make a nice community with only friendly players and no bandits and with players that help you not point a gun at you, it would be a safe server almost with tones of experienced players and it would be a nice, friendly community with a global in game chat as well as a Ts3 server of somthing, why can no one make a server like this? Safe in the sense that people would harvest prime loot without any real danger and transfer it over to other servers in order to wreak havoc on them.Why put a rule on passwords so no players can have a happy server?Why' date=' because servers connect to a central database which provides a persistent world across all servers. Your fluffycloud and huggles server would not only be an abuse of the protocols put in place for server owners, but would impact on other servers when prime loot is farmed with impunity and transferred over.
