Night time i can't see a thing my m8 can?

Is there any way of being able to see my team m8 besides chem lights and flares? I've tried upping the gamma and brightness and i still can't see his out line against the dead of night yet he still see me with np's!! Tried settings on my monitor but to no avail, the only thing we put it down to was that his monitor was cheap and the blacks were pretty rubbish against mine.

If your 'mate' can see and you can't (both with your gamma up) try relogging. There is a bug sometimes where your light levels are too low, relogging resets it.

Also a tip:

Up the brightness

Up the gamma

Disable shadows

You will see much better providing there is some moonlight

If he has HDR Quality set to very high and yours is Low, that's the explanation.

Apparently there's a bug in the time script that causes the moon to not load properly for some players, causing night time to be absolutely pitch black. Try disconnecting to the lobby and reconnecting if it ever happens again, it may fix the problem.
