Yarrick68 (DayZ) 26 Posted July 2, 2012 What qualifies as a bandit?I know I would not go hunting new characters with no equipment. I tend to avoid confrontation in most cases but I have seem to adopted a "if you look like trouble I am going to shoot you" attitude.I was in a town, noticed zombies on the far end and then another player in the distance. I retreated to a good position on the town and noticed not only him but another player seemingly flanking my old known position. I took the shot at them. Another time I was at a military barracks and scouting before I went in, noticed zombies before I went in and there is a guy slowly leaving wearing a ghillie suit and with an m16.. he looks like trouble, I take the shot.I am in town getting supplies, get into a firefight with a lot of zombies accidentally, retreat out of town, hear someone else fire a shot... observe the town for a while and see someone running around town searching.. then I think he figures out what direction I went and he starts sneaking up around where I am, starts crawling but doesen't know exactly where I am but he is definatly searching.. unfortunatly I only had my crossbow and a pistol but if I was armed for range I would have taken the shot.... PkStormx 23 Posted July 2, 2012 honestly at my point, i have really good loot, like above, you saw a ghille suit with a m16....so me right now im being protective...i shoot anyone who knows where i am, or if they are trying to look for me, or if they have a nice weapon that can kill fast...i dont kill them though i shoot their knees out, and run.
