Disappearing backpacks and gear today?

     I was one of those Call of Duty types.  Yesterday the struggle was real, so I picked a new inland town and got busy becoming someone new.  I spent the entire day gathering up all the farming supplies and tools I could muster.  I created a little place I felt was my new home, as a farmer.  I was happy, energized, healthy, and surviving.  Today I was going to invite others to my new home away form the PVP action.  Two hours ago all of my backpacks, small arms, and gardening supplies just vanished.  Was this a glitch on our server or was there an accidental ground wipe?  This was a Gameservers server in case it  was throughout the provider instead of the entire hive.  i was so getting into being a survivor and not a murdering sociopath.

There was a hotfix dealing with persistence and in the process, persistence files had to be wiped.
