Bloodreign 0 Posted July 2, 2012 I was wondering if the Camo Clothing and Ghillie Suits are safe to be used without spawning in the ocean next time the player connects to a server. That happened to me last time I put on a different skin a couple of weeks ago. When I came here and looked for info about it, there were a few people who had the same thing happen to them. I've had this camo clothing sitting in my inventory for about two weeks now and i'm not sure if I should try putting it on at the risk of losing all my gear in the ocean next time I play.I've seen people say that using the latest beta patch and only connecting to servers that use a newer beta patch installed could help. Those are the only kinds of servers I play on anyway.. but i'm still not sure if I want to try it without knowing if a lot of other people have no issues with their skins.Has anyone else who has put on a different skin while playing on a server with one of the latest beta patches ended up spawning in the ocean after logging out recently? If this problem is still going on right now, would putting my civilian clothing back on before I log off prevent it from happening?

Frank N Stein 0 Posted July 2, 2012 I found a Ghillie suit yesterday. When put it on, it was like entering a server... everything was black, i heared the ocean, the landscape build up... I thought wtf?! But after a few seconds, I was back in the house where i put it on and everything was fine.I played on 1.7.1.5 94364.
Wulfear 6 Posted July 2, 2012 This bug has been fixed for ages. Even still, I have never experienced it.
Combine (DayZ) 247 Posted July 2, 2012 From what I understand, the PROBLEM of this bug was the report to central server. What do I mean?Basically, if you'd change clothes, and THEREFORE SKIN, you'd get the bug by logging out TOO QUICKLY AFTER THAT, since it would bug somehow, not register, and then result in this.In a shorter version, fixed or not: When changing clothes, stay on the server for a while before logging out. This makes sure it all saves properly. If you do that, it would be unlikely to get the bug, unless the server suddenly crashes or so ... unless a fix removed this problem.
