I'm not ranting this game is going to die in the ass if people keep shooting others in the back for no reason. It's happened to other games for other reasons, playing a game is supposed to be fun, you cant have fun when others are being retards thinking its cod4 on a huge map. If I wanted to be shot everytime i picked up a gun i would play cod or bf3, Take the pvp out of the game, until kids learn that helping eachother is funner than ruining others games.

I play bf3 alot and i come here to have a nice slow game avoiding zombies and finding food/drink to live. You dont expect cod kiddies to come over to a slow paced combat sim and try killing everyone in the game, there is a game called arma2 wich you get when you play dayz you paid for it to begin with go play that, or ace mod or prmod thats what they are for not Dayz.

This is a multi-player game. Not a Co-op or Single player. If you do not want the chance of getting killed by another player go play one of the above types of games. I am not generally a bandit. I try not to shoot on sight unless Stary/NW airifeld (these places you have to). but fact is it's part of the game for a reason. You are complaining about a part of the game as it was meant to be. If you do not like the mod (not even game) hate to tell you the dayz mod is free. If you bought Arma 2 for it that is your choice. This is a free mod if you do not like how it is played go play something else. Arma 2 has some great co-op play.

The pvp is not as it was intended the game was supposed to be a zombie survival not a cod deathmatch survival, i like the pvp i like the fact that people can shoot others what i dont like is the fact every single fuckwit in this game kills for no reason other than oh hes got a pistol ill kill him because im a scared little faggot that cant talk to someone in game.

Communicate with people before you shoot them if they ignore you or look at you with a gun pointed then blast away none of this sneak up behind a poor c*nt and shoot him in the back because he might take a can of beans that you already have 10 of.

It's down to the person always, there are a few good sorts out there. I met a lovely "lady" at balota airstrip. I had nothing and she had an AK and a Glock, there where no zombies so I walked up to said lady and shouting a jolly hello!

She did the wiggle and dropped her glock on the floor, I thanked her and we proceeded to head into the ATC, I died going up the stairs to vaulting shinanigans, but hey, at least our partnership was a nice one, no one got shot!

Only advice I'd give, is move through the map as if you have a crosshair at the back of your head at all times. And trust people at your own peril, unless they are actual friends or clanmates or something.

If all you want to do is survive, then scope areas out before entering them, listening for gunshots, overly excited zed's, etc...and haul ass or simply wait longer if things seem fishy. You might even want to avoid busy areas such as large cities and the airfields.
