How To Craft Improvised Leather Clothes & Items | DayZ Standalone Crafting Guide

Today I'm going to be showing you how to create Improvised leather items. You're going to need: Blade to skin and quarter the cow, garden lime and Leather sowing kit. All these items are common and can easily be found in any building. Find a herd of animals the most obvious - is the cow herd west of Berezino. Up the hill you'l also find a small housing district with some industrial buildings close by to gather the common items you'l need.

 

Kill the cow. Look at the carcass, take out your blade and select skin and quature. Sometimes the option is a little slow to appear so just wait half a second or two longer.

After we've finished skinning the cow you'l receive meat, bones, guts, lard and a the cow pelt. Drag the garden lime over the cow pelt and it crafts 3xTanned Leather. Drag the leather sowing kit over your collected tanned leathers and you'l see the options to craft appear: 1x tanned leather can craft you a hat or water bottle, 2x tanned leather can craft you shoes, 3x tanned leather can craft you pants, 4x tanned leather can craft you storage vest, 5x tanned leather can craft you a leather sack, which can be made into a larger improvised leather sack with sticks and 5x tanned leather can also craft you the jacket. There you have it! Now you'l have the knowledge to equip yourself without risking entering those nasty zombie horde areas.
