therunningmanz 255 Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) Not keen on this method myself. Occasionally when you swap backpacks the one with all the stuff in it disappears into the floor or wherever. If you are in a house you can normally find it on another floor or by the entrance but I have had this in the open and lost all my stuff in the past. I do similar to this but I transfer key loot items (such as rags and ammo) to the bag before I make the switch and then double click the rest after I have swapped to the new bag. OPs method is indeed the fastest, but it is also the riskiest one when it comes to losing your items.

To make sure the server is in sync with me, I drop a can of food and if it appears next to me, I then drop my bag and transfer, but I always transfer the very important stuff first before switching and transferring the less important items. I once had my entire bag clip inside a car and I couldn't access any of it .
ScorePoint 60 Posted March 27, 2015 I've never had a single problem doing this. Bugs and glitches will be fixed and the game is getting better and better every month. I demonstrated it in the video and it worked like a charm. I did this today 4-5 times in different locations and didn't lose anything. But that's just me, and the only way to find out if this works really well for you is to try it out several times, it won't hurt. It works at least 99% of the time. But at the end of the day, it all comes to personal preference. Some folks, newbies, or players never thought of this, might find this pretty useful and efficient, while it might not work well for others. :)
solodude23 649 Posted March 27, 2015 This is the method I always use and it's never gone wrong for me either. There were a few versions where DayZ had odd issues with dropping items but I haven't experienced those issues for quite some time.
