IIvIIozzie 31 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) I've been out of the game for several month's and wanted to see how persistence has come along, if at all. Been trying to read up on persistence but the information out there appears contradictory and lacking. Some say that their gear left on the ground (in tents or in backpacks) stay after the Wednesday reset, others say it doesn't.-Is it luck of the draw?-Does it vary server to server?- Does public/private servers/shards affect how persistence works? Can someone with experience explain this please? Also, possibly a related question, what is going on with all the very short reset times on server? I'm seeing a lot of 1 to 4 hour server resets, what's the story with that? I appreciate help in advance! Edited March 17, 2015 by IIvIIozzie

mafia 2 Posted March 20, 2015 Most servers restart every 4 hours but it seems the last couple of days servers have been randomly restarting in between that 4 hour period.
albinoclock 45 Posted March 20, 2015 Persistence wipes happen on Wednesdays, but not necessarily *every* Wednesday. You should pick up your stuff Tuesday night, but there may be some weeks when you get to keep the stuff you couldn't fit.Keep in mind that admins can turn off or reset persistency at any time on their own servers. Stashed gear may still be lost if persistence bugs out and needs to be reset or if they decided to go heli hunting. The most secure way to store gear is on mule accounts.
