Random freezing

Hi, I bought the game (DayZ standalone) couple of days ago, I love the game so far but I have big technical problems which are killing the enjoyment of the game but searching the forums does not help. Here are two problems I have.

  From time to time game screen freezes, I can hear my footsteps when I hold the keyboard buttons and sound of the weapon when I click the mouse, so the game is probably working but my screen is frozen and nothing helps. The only solution is to kill the game start again.

  Again randomly can be few minutes or hours the wallpaper when you are loading the game comes to the screen and in the upper left corner there is a text "receiving". Here are few other people having the same problem, sometimes it goes away quickly, sometimes I have to restart the game.

  
  
  

My computer is pretty ordinary, GTX 770, 4670k, 8GB RAM, Win 8, drivers up to date, tried switching servers etc. Nothing extraordinary, I tried all the usual stuff, the winxp into the launcher, check the files and install/uninstall. Does anyone have the same problems and could offer any help? At one point I had pretty good setup and was heading to a military base when zombie started running after me and receiving popped into my screen and my character was killed.

start off with removing all launch options for dayz in steam

 

also delete this dayz folder C:\Users\Franzuu\Documents\DayZ

 

changing stuff there is causing major issues on 0.54

 

make double sure video drivers are up to date

 

You can try out the experimental version (opt into betas for dayz on steam) there are performance and crashing issues on the stable branch
