Hunting knife durability

Hi

So I tested my pristine hunting knife I found last night.

I killed at least 10 animals... Of which only 5 did not magically vanish upon death.

I skinned all 5 and never did my knife lose durability.

I want to test more but with how buggy animals are it is time consuming.

I am hoping that the hunting knife is like the can opener in that it does not degrade with use for it's specified function.

Anyone have conflicting evidence?

This is only when skinning animals. I am aware using the knife for chopping bushes and opening cans will degrade it rather quickly
