ballistic vest utility - extra plate.

Recommended Posts

i'm a real fan of the look of the new ballistic vest and pouches.

i feel like there's something that's missing from how modular it is.

it'd be a lot better if you could remove the plates from it to reduce weight (+future reduce protection)

and also replace these plates which will become ruined rather than the entire vest, if hit.

suggested additions: kevlar plate (chest) kevlar plate (side)

Since you have joined the forums how many topics have you put up? just wondering.

i think the vest should be able to take out plates, and maybe use them for something.

since i joined the forums in like 2013 or so? plenty

i just got back to playing the game after giving my opinions of the first stage of alpha, like a year ago. you'll probably see nothing from me until beta or release after a few weeks.

i'd like to see a secondary use, that's a pretty decent idea. perhaps tie a few of them together into a makeshift bullet umbrella.

Yes. I like the idea of dropping the plates and losing protection from rifle rounds while losing weight. Not sure what the plates could be used for until they add customization for vehicles.

I feel left out because as soon as the plate carrier vest comes out I find my first UK Assault vest within 5 minutes of spawning:/

Maybe we could have different classes of protective plates too. Protecting different amounts and lasting different amounts of time.

You could choose between light 9mm protection or heavy 7.62x39mm protection.

Sounds like a good idea, alternatively implement a non-protective vest, that is more common. After which, you will need to find the plates to make it bullet proof. But still keeping the fact that MOLLE system should still be somewhat of an regular thing onboard of US helicopters.
