Spotting players - Object Detail high vs normal ?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,
So i have been wondering . Does settings object detail to high(1 000 000) allows me to spot players further away than normal object detail(500 000)? I have been wondering about this for a while now.  With high object detail i dont have to zoom in in order to see throught windows ( they get blurred at a distance) while in normal i have to.Is this the only difference between these two settings because high object detail takes away about 7 fps which are pretty valuable.

Thank you :)

I was "testing" this with my friend who runs objects at max. He got to spot me lying in the grass before i could spot see him running on the middle of a road.(lowest settings)

You will be fine with normal object setting. Anything lower than normal will put you at disadvantage. You can test it on zombies & use dayzd if you do not have the rangefinder.

High vs normal doesnt give you that much more of drawing distance when it comes to players(if any?), it does help versus ghillie suits tho.

If someone tested this more intensively, do share your findings.

Id take the 7up.
