Auto shoot mechanic

Well I've been thinking a bit about how stand offs between two players go.

You both stumble out into the open without noticing the other guy's presence. You stop. You turn. You point your guns at eachother. Neither of you wish to shoot the other guy. You both have your guns aimed at the other guy's head, because that's the smart thing to do.

It's just a case of who's gonna shoot first, because shooting last is a bad thing to do - this is because no one gets to shoot last. Ever.

You use voice chat, but he doesn't respond - maybe he has voice chat turned off. Maybe he's deaf. Maybe he's dumb.

Neither of you is really willing to type in chat, because that leaves you vulnerable.

You continue to look at eachother.

The other guy shoots you first and you're sat there wondering why you didn't usher his brains somewhere admist the background scenery before he did unto you.

So here's a little solution I figured:

Howzabout, if you're shot in the head, your character discharges his weapon almost instantly.

Like a reflex or someshat. Just one bullet.

For body shots/legs/whatever there can be a 5 or 10 percent chance of your weapon discharging likewise.

I figure that this would make you more willing to work things out a little bit with the guy you're aiming at, because if you shoot him in the head, he'll shoot you back in the head. Ofcourse, you could shoot him elsewhere, but he'll return fire whether by auto-discharge, or the fact he thinks it's a pretty good idea (which it is).

I can just picture the scene already. Two guys walking slowly from one another, trying to keep their aim over the other guy's head incase they shoot.

I call that some tense motherfucking shit.

Furthermore, if you're surrounded by a group of enemies, you might just get out there alive if you stay aimed at one of their buddies!
