IgnobleBasterd 161 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) So just now, I had my first hero/good guy/bandit hunter experience. After getting into trouble and mystically killed by zombies while trying to shoot some innocent player with the MP-shotgun, I spawned near Cherno. At first, I thought I was going to to the same routine, which is spawn: start running around and looking for people to get into fights with. However, I don't see a single soul, even though it is a 40/40 server. Whole Cherno void of people, save for the occasional zombie. I run around for a while. I find basic gear, a Blaze Double Rifle but I only find five bullets for it. After running around in Cherno screaming "hello, hello" with an indian accent and running up and down the main streets, without even getting shot at by some distant sniper, I decide to instead go to Elektro. However, an impulse strike my mind: instead of running into town, getting into a fight and ding fairly quickly, why not walk into the forest, go around and come up on on one of the sniper hills from behind, and see if there are any sniping lurkers around? Said and done, I sneak through the forest, taking my time. As I get closer to Elektro, I hear shots fired and start making my way towards the sound. At this point, I have become a little less careful because of impatience, so I'm actually running instead of sneaking. Then suddenly, as I get to about here ( http://dayzdb.com/map#7.097.131) I see a faint anomaly lying on the ground. Could it be? Yes, it could be. Too close to comfort, on my right. Did he hear me coming? Raising my Blaze, I see his head turning in my direction. Remember that scene from Jurassic Park? That was pretty much what happened, except the raptor had a Blaze Double Rifle. Then the sliding corpse bug made him slide down into the open, making the looting some nervous business. Quick loot, free Mosin with attachments + High Capacity Vest. Wham, bam, tank you ma'am! So yeah, first time bandit hunting. Nice adrenalin rush. Might continue this path! Gonna have to kill a lot of bandits to make up for all my brutal murders, though. Edited February 24, 2015 by IgnobleBasterd
