Dayz Wont Launch - Continuous Steam Update (4.1mb)

I play dayz every day...

I turn my pc on and launch dayz...

I close this window and click "play" again on steam and steam says "preparing to launch dayz"

the steam window disappears and nothing happens (no dayz.exe in task manager)...

 

I open properties for dayz in steam then check integrity of the game cache

Steam then starts downloading...

 

When download complete i click play

Steam then starts downloading 1 file again (which is 4.1mb)...

 

When download complete i click play.. again..

Steam then starts downloading 1 file again!...

 

Stuck in this continuous loop now and cant play :(

* had to redownload/reinstall the entire game to fi this problem.. nothing i tried could fix it.. fml

Hi

 

I got the same issue this morning.

Avast has detected Dayz.exe as a threat.

But when lauching integrity check, Steam has corrected the game, and now I can launch it.
