Can't join a server

I have my dayz commander set to the correct version for the server I am trying to join but it will not let me join. I click join, it launches then says waiting for host and brings me to the arma 2 OA menu

Please help,  I have not been able to play for a week

If you cannot cannot through dayz commander and or dayz launcher, try launching the game throught Arma 2 OA. If you do not know how to do that try these steps below

 

-Make sure your patch and versions are the same as the server you are trying to connect to.

-Open Arma 2 OA, at the main menu look for expansions, Look for the mod you are trying to play such as (Dayz, Epoch...etc) make sure it is enabled then make sure you click ok and a pop up window will appear and ask you to restart, just select restart.

 

If this works, you can add -nosplash to your launcher command line and a few others, just type arma 2 launch parameters in google to find the rest of the commands... if you didnt already know...
