Day Z screen turns black after I spawn in, can still hear and see my cursor

Super annoying, only started a couple of days ago after I moved steam over to another hard drive.  It worked for about 10 minutes before it'd black out, I could still see cursors and hear the sounds of me punching or shooting randomly.

 

After I installed new drivers it won't even last 2 seconds in game before going black.  I'm getting pretty frustrated, does anyone have any ideas?
