DayZ will freeze for a few seconds every so often.

Tried searching for this, but couldn't find the exact same symptoms, or a solution.

 

I'll be playing DayZ, and no matter where I am (cities, wilderness), the game will freeze for a few seconds completely, then come back to normal. This happens every so often, maybe every 15-30 minutes. 

 

DayZ is on my SSD, so don't think it's a loading issue. And my PC is more than up to the job (i7 4790, 8GB RAM, GTX770). Gets really annoying, especially when it happens in the PvP.

Just seen this post now, sorry.

 

No just DayZ, but may have sorted it,

 

Was getting quite bad tonight, the freezes being more frequent and I noticed that each time a freeze happened, there'd be a lot of activity on the second hard drive, so made a Symlink to the DayZ profile folder and moved it on to my SSD as I relocated my user folder on to my second hard drive, so now everything is being read from the SSD for DayZ, and then switched the hard drive ShadowPlay uses too to my third one, and seems to be much smoother now.
