When does server maintenance start and when does it end???? I would like to play dayz I need to kill bandits with my akm.....

It depends on what needs to be done. Routine maintenance may take three, or four hours. If they have to perform upgrades, apply patches, or do other operations, it can take considerably longer.

 

Eugen tweeted earlier that the hive needs to be upgraded, so today's operation will not be routine. The servers will be back up, when they are back up.

It seems to me that last week Eugen said that he was also going to patch the zed AI. It seems that an old bug got re-introduced.

 

Upgrades and new builds are almost always worth the wait. Personally, I enjoy tinkering with the new experimental builds when they are released.
