Black Screen when logging in to servers/after death blindly clicking to respawn

I had 460 hours played on DayZ I stopped playing around the time vehicles came out, I came back now when ever I log in to a server I do not see "Wait for Host" or "Please Wait" it's just a black screen and then I spawn in. If I press Alt Tab to pull up the steam overlay I can see the "Wait for Host" etc in the background. When I die I see a black screen as well and have to use Alt Tab to figure out where my cursor is then hopefully get lucky on respawning button. I do use Dual Montors my rig is a great one just built it 6 months ago for 1,200 DayZ's worked perfectly on it before not sure why this is happening.
