FPS crash since stable 0.53 release

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

So as of updating to stable 0.53 earlier today I have experienced a massive drop in fps rendering my game completely unplayable, I'm talking 5-10 frames. Problem was first noted in the main menu and continues when joining a server. Had no issues before the update with the same settings as after. Tried reinstall but did not fix, attempted deleting the .cfg file and manually putting in old settings but that also did not work. I did not attempt to play the experimental version of this patch either. I'll list my pc specs below; however, I can't fathom how this would be the issue as it ran right as rain before the patch. If anyone has experienced the same and remedied the problem I will be forever in your debt ;)

MSI GT70 Gaming Laptop

CPU: Intel Core i7-3610QM

VGA: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 670M / 3GB GDDR 5

RAM: DDR3 12GB (4GBx3)

HDD: 750GB 7200 RPM

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit (service pack 1)

Honestly cannot suggest what would help (sorry), i've had the complete opposite and had a fps boost, just feels more stable.
