Tips for FPS Optimization

In DayZ, you get bad FPS if you are running on a bad machine, here is a tip for windows 8 users, to improve optimization. 

Step one: find your DayZ folder, this should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DayZ

Step two: Right click both DayZ and DayZ_BE and select properties

Step three: click compatibility, and click Windows XP (Service pack 2)

Step 4: Profit (You may need to launch your game from the folder, or set launch options for DayZ to -winxp

This greatly increased my FPS and turned my game from this:

here are my specs:

Processor: AMD A10-6700 APU with Radeon HD Graphics (3.70 GHz)

12 GB RAM

1 GB VRAM

The 1st one looks worse though... And the second one was blurry because I was attacked just beforehand so I was on low blood and low health.

i am forever amazed how the hell can you play in those blured settings.

you sure you have correct rendering % or is that blur /postproc to the max ?
