Odd inventory issue with Ammo Box

Hey guys, just started playing. My first loot was a BIG HAUL. I found and M4 assault rifle with 5 attachments on it, 2 ammo boxes, with 5x 60 bullet clips between the 2 of them, all full of m4 ammo, among other random items. Over 500 bullets total on a decked out M4 alone is pretty godly, but I'm also very new.

 

My friend lost his mind trying to understand how somebody died carrying all this stuff and didnt get looted, since it was part of loot from 2 random dead bodies I had come across side by side. He told me to run like hell once I took it all haha.

 

The problem I'm having is with the ammo boxes. They are meant for ammunition, but these are actually holding 60 bullet clips FULL of ammunition. I couldn't put an additional clip in the box that had space, so out of curiosity I took one out to discover it wouldn't go back in.

 

TLDR; How come I have an ammo box with 5x 60 bullet magazines in it, but can't put the 60 bullet magazines back into the box if I remove them from it.

afaik you can only put Bullets in Ammo Boxes and not Magazines. The reason why there where Magazines in the Ammo Boxes is because they (Ammo Boxes) are Hacked in.
