Battleye: Client lost connection

I used to get very frequent short freezes followed by long freezes that would kick me from my game. Today I am only faced with the latter which gives me the error message in the title, the game freezes probably 15 seconds then either recovers or kicks me.

I am running the game through steam with the latest beta patch.
