BattlEye kicking me from any game with a failed to update message

Are you running an Arma 2 OA beta patch? If so what version?:

The folder I downloaded was called ARMA2_OA_Build_94364, i extracted the .exe from that and updated the game.

Which method are you using to launch the game? I.E Sixupdater/steam/batch file:

About 2 minutes into any game BattlEye kicks me for not updating. I have searched for solutions and tried all of the different installers, putting the client or server.dll in different folders and havnt gotten anywhere, always get the same problem.

I tried that and put both the client and server.dll files in the folders they specify on that website (they say to create a new folder in the ARMA 2 directory called BattlEye and put them in there, and for OA put them in the BattlEye folder in the expansions folder in the OA game directory), still got the same problem.

Anyone else have any ideas on how to fix this?

Edit: This time when it kicked me off, just before the you have been kicked message it said in red writing on the bottom left that the server was requesting an update to 1.157.....updating, then it kicked me of. Dont know if that helps at all. To clarify ive tried starting steam and sixlauncher as admin, ive manually got the client and server files from the BattlEye website and put them in the specified folders and have made sure to allow ARMA 2, and ARMA2 OA through my firewall and tried with the firewall turned off.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Just tried running steam as administrator, still got the same problem though. I know this has happened to other people so im trying to keep this thread on the front page so anyone whos found a fix can share.

Sorry to necro a really old thread but I just tried playing this at a friends house and battleye worked fine. I got back a few hours ago and tried playing it back on my normal connection and it came up with the same failed to update battleye message. Not sure if this would make it any easier to figure out what's wrong.

Im in the UK but on a university campus connection, other games work fine although I did have problems with Tribes Ascend

I had the same problem just turn of your firewall. Go on your server wait until in the Left corner stays " Battleye update completed" and then turn your firewall back on ^^.
