walking on stairs and small inclines, can run

I have had a problem where I can't run up or down stairs and small inclines.  I will be running and when I hit really small angles and stairs it makes me fully walk,  wondering how I go about fixing this?  Its tough fighting people when my guy stops and walks on angles he shouldn't be, I'm a sitting duck.   thanks in advance

I'm 200 hours into this game, This has only been happening to me for a few weeks.  I watch twitch(dayz) all the time and no one else stops to walk on stairs and similar inclines. I need to figure out what is making my character do this.  is there a setting?  I did get a new keyboard for Christmas, Corsair k70 red.  wonder if it has something to do with that.   cant totally pinpoint when the glitch started to happen to me.   help please
