Spawns rates changing over time.

I have no knowledge of the coding so bare with me.

Generally the idea start with this.

- everyone gets reset , all items removed. spawn rates of items/weapons at default , this represents the early days in the start of the infection.

- After 3 weeks , rocket halves the spawn rate of all items/weapons to represent the shortening of supplies over time.

- after 1 month 1 week - spawn rates are equal to only 20% percent of the default , this again represents the scarcity of supplies in an apocalyptic scenario.

- after 2 months , reset , back to zero.

This will help a number of elements of gameplay. It will remain dynamic , there won't be the hoarders we have now and people will start focusing on surviving instead of other things.

more importantly , it will keep things from going stale and boring. One you are geared up in dayz now there is not much else to do. With this new system it will take a little longer to geared up and people will be less likely to go looking for trouble.

if you create a shortage, the horders will get even worse, and the casual non-clan player will have it even harder to survive

a casual non clan player could set up a casual non clan group or join something similar. You lot are always trying to get people to group up. This has the ability to encourage groups without imposing game features with means you HAVE to. It's all about choice and this idea represents atleast one that's realistic and fits totally with a survival scenario.

A casual gamer should not have to setup or join a group, even if it with other casuals. This idea will making banditry and hoarding even worse, as Zombo said before.
