UmarCaceres 0 Posted January 6, 2015 Im struggling with my DayZ. The problem I have, is that the whole game gets pixelated and laggy. The character of mine gets pixelated for the most, and the cities became weird. When I enter the houses to loot for example, the walls and some of the furnitures are gone, so I cant see whats in the house, but I can see what happens outside of the house. Even if i lower my settings, it still happens, but a bit less. When Im trying to kill someone with a weapon, it still gets pixelated and its get laggy. I have a MSI TwinFrozr GTX 780 graphic card, i7-4790k 3.6Ghz cpu, 750watt PSU (I upgraded from 500 to maybe get the problem solved), Windows 8 32bit (yeah I know 32 bit is shit). How can I fix this? ToySmokes 116 Posted January 7, 2015 I know that this can ocurr right when you join a server and all the textures haven't loaded yet. It has happened to me too with doors and so on but it have never been long lasting. It usualy starts working if you stare at it a while. Is it like this the whole time or just in the beginning when you just have joined a server?

Is it like this the whole time or just in the beginning when you just have joined a server? It happens sometimes when it starts, and sometimes (often when I have AUTO on video memory) when I play. So the pixelation is not there all the time, but when it happens its there for a while, and then I lower the video memory from AUTO to something that may be better (for example to 258 MB or 1024 MB, but it still disappoint me. So it doesn't work when I lower my settings, but it happens a bit less.
alexoolol 0 Posted March 3, 2015 Hey buddy, we're in the same boat. I believe this has nothing to do with the specs ( I have a very high end rig ) and that it is a bug everyone can experience. As of 0.54, my game becomes like what you described around once every 10 minutes. It makes it unplayable because it is unpredictable. The only temporary way to fix it is to lower your resolution scale then bring it up again. Hope this issue gets sorted out ASAP.

franzuu 211 Posted March 3, 2015 Sorry for double post but there it is: I go from 60 ish fps to 4-13 Try deleting all launch options for dayz in steam delete this dayz folder C:\Users\Franzuu\Documents\DayZ try that. Tomorrow (probably) there will be a hotfix for some crashing and maybe memory leak issues.

With a little luck, it might have been a faulty installation and I hope it is now fixed. I'll try it in 2 hours.

alexoolol 0 Posted March 4, 2015 uninstalling and installing doesn't get rid of launch options or that folder, do that too.Doing so only made it worse in my case: I am getting 6 fps ALL THE TIME and it is just unplayable. I'll deactivate Steam Synchronization for DayZ and uninstall -> install it back.
