How do you drive a vehicle?

I seriously dont understand how you start a vehicle and drive around.

On my way to kamaravo I came across a bus, It had to fuel so i went to look around for a fuel tank - found one, entered 20 liters, entered it and couldn't drive? everything was fixed inside, so that was not the problem.

How do you start the engine etc?

You just press 'go forward' button to start the engine lol. It prolly wasnt fixed or something.

Press Q to start the engine, and then just Use Wasd to drive.

Q is the "engine on" key by default. It's also the cyclic advance control in a Huey.

Press forward. But it won't work if the vehicle is broken and needs repairs.

Wierd, I've done all of the given options, yet it didn't drive.

How can i be certain it needed repair? I could enter, and even with mousewheeling, and checking, nothing seemed broken.

You might want to try the SP tutorial missions in Arma before you try driving/piloting in DayZ. The pilot training especially is useful, as are the basic movement/navigation tutorials.

You didn't say that you refueled the vehicle you just said you put the jerry can in, take the jerry can, look at the bus and scroll the mouse wheel to the refuel action

Like i did, i did refuel it and got the message "20 liters of fuel has been restored'' or something along, I got the animation etc.

The bus is still there! How do i know if it needs repair or not? I dont get any option that says so.

Are you kidding? You need wheels, scrap metal, fuel tnak parts and engine parts to fix that thing. It won't go on it's own.

Get in the driver seat. Look at the top left corner. The little boxes, if its red, then it needs to be repaired.

None of the boxes are red

If anyone wants the bus - I can give u the server and place where to find it, it's still there.

So far I could drive all vehicles with WASDA.

If you get in the drivers seat, you need to check the top left part of the screen, it will tell you if you have gas, and what parts may need repair. Parts that are ok are green.
